Biggs: Giants name Gilbride Jr. quality control coach
The New York Giants announced that Kevin Gilbride Jr. has been hired as an offensive quality control coach to serve under his father, the offensive coordinator.
Gilbride, 30, worked as a wide receivers coach for the past three seasons at Temple. He takes the place of Sean Ryan, who was promoted from the quality control position to become the wide receivers coach for the Giants last week.
“Kevin is very aggressive and a very energetic young coach,” Coughlin said in a statement released by the team. “Quite frankly, I investigated him three or four years ago. He’s busted his tail to get where he is. He was a graduate assistant at Syracuse, so I knew about him there and the coaches were very favorably impressed by what he was able to accomplish there.”
