Biggs: Jaguars hire tight ends coach
MOBILE, Ala.—The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Rob Boras to be their tight ends coach, a league source said.
Boras, who coached the position for the Chicago Bears for the past six seasons, will effectively replace Mike Tice. The Bears hired Tice as their offensive line coach two weeks ago. Tice was the assistant head coach/tight ends for the Jaguars.
Boras is credited with helping bring along former first-round pick Greg Olsen, and it’s been a position of strength for the Bears with Desmond Clark, Kellen Davis and previously John Gilmore.
Another former Bears’ assistant has also found work. Luke Butkus has been hired as an assistant offensive line coach in Seattle, league sources said.
