Biggs: Lions add special teams coach, lose QB coach
The Detroit Lions added one coach on Friday and lost another.
Danny Crossman was hired as the special teams coach to replace Stan Kwan, a holdover from the Rod Marinelli era who was let go after this last season.
Departing is quarterbacks coach Jeff Horton, who left to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota. That means the Lions will need to find a coach to help tutor young quarterback Matthew Stafford as they hope he prepares to raise his game to a new level after a sometimes exciting, sometimes frustrating and sometimes injured rookie season.
Crossman comes from the Carolina Panthers and previously worked at Michigan State.
