Biggs: Maclin will miss time with foot injury

The Philadelphia Eagles expect rookie wide receiver Jeremy Maclin to miss a game or two after he tore the plantar fascia in his left foot in Sunday night’s victory over the New York Giants that put the Birds in control of the NFC East.

Maclin has moved into the starting lineup across from dynamic playmaker DeSean Jackson, and the offense has thrived in the absence of veteran Kevin Curtis, who remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Maclin has been battling plantar fasciitis and the report stated that he was using a walking boot at times last week.

The first-round draft pick from Missouri has 46 receptions for 623 yards with four touchdowns.
