Biggs: Minnesota Ave. taken down in Green Bay

Minnesota Avenue on the northeast side of Green Bay is no longer.

Mayor Jim Schmitt with the help of a public works employee saw to that on Thursday as the sign for the short dead-end street was taken down, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

In its place?

Aaron Rodgers Drive.

Yes, they’re getting geared up for Favrepalooza II in what they like to call Title Town. The plan is for Rodgers to autograph the street sign after this weekend and then it will be donated to charity. The Minnesota Ave. sign will be restored on Monday.

A cynic might wonder if the Rodgers sign will make it through the weekend or whether mischievous Packers of Vikings fans might want to get their hands on it.
