Biggs: Packers work out Ahman Green, Dominic Rhodes
The Green Bay Packers have kicked the tires on some veteran running backs, one that they know very well.
A league source said the Packers gave tryouts to Ahman Green and former Indianapolis Super Bowl hero Dominic Rhodes on Monday.
Green, 32, played in eight games with the Houston Texans last season. Rhodes spent last season in Indianapolis after a year in Oakland.
The Packers have concerns about backup running back DeShawn Wynn, who reportedly had a knee injury, and Brandon Jackson returned on Sunday against Detroit for his first game of the season after dealing with an ankle injury. The Packers have Kregg Lumpkin on the practice squad but probably wanted to look at the veterans to check them out medically.
