Biggs: Parade details for Saints set

In an infamous pregame speech before Super Bowl XXXIX, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick laid out the parade route that was planned for the Philadelphia Eagles after the game.

It was hailed as a wonderful motivating tool by the coach.

Credit the New Orleans Police Department with unveiling the plans for the Saints. Their parade will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in front of the Superdome, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

The entire team will be on a series of floats that will be donated by groups around the city. The parade will wind through the city on the traditional Uptown Carnival route and end at Convention Center Boulevard. Bands have not been finalized.

We’re not certain if this parade will take place whether the Saints win or not. We can say, though, let the party begin.
