Biggs: QB Nagy resurfaces with Eagles as coach

His dream last summer came true, if only for a day, when Matt Nagy became a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, he’s got a new gig with the team as a coaching assistant. Nagy was signed for one day during training camp as a third quarterback after Kevin Kolb went down with a knee injury. The former Arena League star was in camp as an intern for the second straight summer, and the Eagles suited him up. Problem was, Nagy had an Arena League contract that had not expired. The NFL voided his deal with the Eagles and it was back to being an intern.

Now, Nagy, who set records at the University of Delaware and starred in Arena ball, will have a chance to embark on a coaching career. It’s not chasing the Kurt Warner dream, but it’s a good start in the business with an organization that clearly values him.
