Biggs: Rams tender two defensive linemen
The St. Louis Rams suffered from largely lousy play on their defensive line a year ago.
That’s one of the reasons why they’re strongly considering a tackle with the first pick in the draft.
They’re going to keep a couple of guys around for another year too. Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have given tender offers to a pair of restricted free agents. Tackle Clifton Ryan was tendered at the second-round level, meaning the Rams would receive a second-round pick from a team that signs him to an offer sheet the club declines to match.
Defensive end Victor Adeyanju was tendered at the original round level. He was a fourth-round draft pick. Ryan will earn $1.684 million with his tender and Adeyanju will be paid $1.176 million.
