Biggs: Redskins announce Rabach deal

The Washington Redskins officially announced that they have re-signed veteran center Casey Rabach to a $12.3 million, three-year contract this afternoon.

Rabach becomes another piece to what the organization hopes will be a rebuilt offensive line. The 32-year-old has started 79 of the club’s last 80 games, and is expected to anchor the position again even though Washington kicked the tires on released former Denver Broncos center Casey Wiegmann.

“Casey has been a productive player in this league for many years and we expect him to be a key ingredient to our success,” coach Mike Shanahan said in a statement released by the team.

The Redskins are expected to still add some more parts for their line. They already signed Artis Hicks, an unrestricted free agent from Minnesota.
