Biggs: Redskins bring back Wynn
Phillip Daniels has announced that he will delay surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon in his right arm until after the season, but the Washington Redskins promptly went out and added some depth for the defensive line, depth that had pretty much been in place all along.
Veteran Renaldo Wynn was re-signed today as the club cut punter Glenn Pakulak. Wynn had been shipped out on Saturday to make room for Pakulak, who filled in for Hunter Smith in Sunday’s come-from-ahead loss at Carolina. Smith is expected to be back from his groin injury this week.
Wynn was with the club for the first four games of the season, but was inactive each week.
The Redskins’ cake walk start to the season continues Sunday when they host the winless Kansas City Chiefs at FedEx Field.
