Biggs: Saints hoping S Young makes fast return
The New Orleans Saints will be without safety Usama Young for at least the remainder of the regular season after he underwent sports hernia surgery, according to the New Orleans Times Picayune.
Young was held out of last Saturday’s loss to Dallas with what was called a hip injury, and with the Saints set to get a bye in the first round of the playoffs, the hope is he will heal and return quickly.
Cornerback Jabari Greer returned just two weeks after his sports hernia surgery, according to the report. The Saints have had six players have surgeries for sports hernias in 15 months.
