Biggs: 'Skins cut Wynn to make room for punter

The Washington Redskins have released veteran defensive end Renaldo Wynn in order to make room for punter Glenn Pakulak, who was signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster today with Hunter Smith ailing from a groin muscle injury.

Wynn was in his second stint with the organization, but had been inactive for the first four games. He previously played for the Redskins from 2002 to 2006. He has appeared in 180 career games, and played in every game last season with the New York Giants.

The Redskins are the ninth team for Pakulak. Washington is at Carolina on Sunday.
