Biggs: Thin at receiver, Eagles promote Norwood

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver Jordan Norwood from their practice squad, and he takes the place of cornerback Ramzee Robinson, who was placed on waivers.

The Eagles added Norwood on Sept. 23 after the former Penn State product played for Cleveland in preseason.

Philadelphia could use some help this week. DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion in the win over Washington, and Kevin Curtis is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. That leaves them with rookie Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and Reggie Brown for Sunday’s game vs. Atlanta. Now, they have Norwood in the mix too.
