Biggs: Two trainers fired in one week
The St. Louis Rams have gotten rid of one of the organization’s last ties to Los Angeles even as there are questions about the club’s long-term viability in Missouri.
Trainer Jim Anderson, who has been with the Rams for 26 seasons, was fired. Coach Steve Spagnuolu said the move had nothing to do with a slew of injuries the team had during its miserable march to the No. 1 pick in the draft. Anderson is the second trainer to be removed this week. The Atlanta Falcons relieved Ron Medlin of his duties earlier in the week. He had been the head trainer for the Falcons for 16 seasons.
The Rams are also in danger of losing an offensive line coach. Art Valero has interviewed for a job with the Seattle Seahawks. Valero has previously spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
