Biggs: Two workers fall from roof of Jerryworld
Two construction workers were injured in falls from the roof of Dallas Cowboys Stadium this morning.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the men fell 12 to 15 feet onto a parapet that runs along the retractable section of the roof, preventing them from dropping further. Don Crowson, the assistant fire chief in Arlington, Texas, who has been front and center in the controversy regarding the team packing far too many fans into the standing-room only sections of the stadium, said neither worker was wearing safety harnesses, as required.
One worker lost consciousness and suffered a broken leg, chest and head injuries. The other worker had back injuries. Neither suffered life-threatening injuries.
Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple said that maintenance on Jerryworld will continue into next year, when the Cowboys will host Super Bowl XLV.
