Bills cut Mario Williams, tagging Glenn

The Buffalo Bills have released 11-year veteran and four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Mario Williams. Williams was due a $2.5 million roster bonus at the start of the league year. Buffalo saves $14.5 million in cash and $12.9 million in cap space with Williams’ release. Dropping into pass coverage frequently last season, Williams dipped from 14.5 sacks in 2014 to just five last year. He frequently complained about Rex Ryan's defensive scheme. Williams had signed a six-year, $96 million deal with the Bills in 2012.
