Bills poised to make Mario highest paid defender

The Buffalo Bills are putting the full-court press on Houston Texans free agent Mario Williams in an effort to sign the superstar defensive end.

The Buffalo News reports that the Bills are prepared to make Williams the league's highest-paid defensive player. The report also said the Bills want to try and reach an agreement with Williams and not let him leave town before doing so.

If Williams leaves without signing, the fear is that another team will up the ante and steal Williams out from under them.
