Bills WR Johnson: I think it's our turn now

Usually the talking and big headlines in the AFC East are reserved for the New York Jets and Coach Rex Ryan.

But wide receiver Stevie Johnson, whose Buffalo Bills host the Jets on Sunday, has stolen a little bit of that show, saying on Thursday that he believes the Bills' time has come.

“I don’t want to say [the Jets are] too much of a hype, because they’ve gotten it done,” Johnson told the Associated Press via the New York Post. “I think it’s our turn now. It’s our turn to show that we’re going to come in and try to take over this division and make this run be for real.”

The Bills are 5-2, tied with New England for the division lead, while the Jets are a game back at 4-3.

Johnson was even sporting a t-shirt that said "Fitzpatrick-Johnson 2012: Yes We Can," a reference to himself and Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and a takeoff of Barack Obama's 2008 election campaign slogan.

“Yes we can. Yes we can get to the playoffs, we can get to the Super Bowl,” Johnson said. “Whatever they say we can’t, we can.”

You have to love Johnson's confidence and the Bills' resurgence, but we'll see what the Jets have to say about that on Sunday. After all, the Jets are usually not shy when it comes to talking.
