Bon Jovi wants a piece of the Dirty Birds
Jon Bon Jovi is friends with New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and the the rock-n-roll star has been an owner of an Arena League team in Philadelphia.
Now, he’d like to jump into the NFL with the … Atlanta Falcons.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Bon Jovi would pay Arthur Blank $150 million for a 15 percent stake of the franchise. Blank told Mortensen there have been “discussions that are unlikely.”
Blank wants a new stadium for the Falcons so they can escape the Georgia Dome. In his effort to pull off such a feat, he’s been quietly seeking minority partners to create more cash. The goal is to build an outdoor stadium in Atlanta.
Blank and Bon Jovi have a confidentiality agreement in place for their talks.
