Both Mannings struggle in Giants, Broncos losses
The Manning brothers have had plenty of better days than what transpired on Sunday.
In the Giants' 16-10 loss to the 49ers, quarterback Eli Manning threw five interceptions and only one touchdown. He threw for 280 yards but completed less than 50 percent of his passing attempts.
Peyton Manning, who hasn't struggled through an entire game all year, also had a game to forget. Trying to get Denver back into the game against St. Louis, he threw for 389 yards but had to attempt 54 passes to get to that yardage total. However, he threw two interceptions and only one touchdown in the 22-7 loss. Makng matters worse, tight end Julius Thomas and receiver Emmanuel Thomas were injured during the game.
It wasn't a fun week for the Mannings. Eli has been a bit of a tough stretch, though Peyton's performance seemed out of the ordinary, especially against a Rams team that recorded just its fourth win of the year.
