Bowles unlikely to remove interim tag

While there has been some talk of Romeo Crennel having a legitimate chance to become the permanent head coach in Kansas City, there doesn't seem to be the same opportunity available for Todd Bowles in Miami.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Bowles is simply expected to finish out Tony Sprarano's term and then be shuttled aside as Dolphins owner Stephen Ross goes in search of a bigger name to fill the position for 2012 and beyond.

Names like Cowher, Gruden and Fisher are being thrown around in South Beach, and while it is no guarantee that any of those coaches would come to the Dolphins, Bowles low-key approach probably works against him as Ross wants pizzazz to compete with the likes of the Patriots and Jets in the AFC East.
