Brad Childress has no comment on Vincent Jackson situation

Minnesota coach Brad Childress didn’t have anything to say about trade-bait wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who could be suiting up for the Vikings well before Sidney Rice does again.

The Vikings are reportedly in the market for Jackson, who will be eligible to return to action after three more games if the San Diego Chargers trade the talented playmaker.

The Vikings are in big-time need for help, especially after a rough first game by quarterback Brett Favre. If the offense struggles Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, the Vikings could become even more desperate. But they’ll have to work out a trade for Jackson and give him a contract he desires.

“He's really not a guy I'm able to speak about for the fact that he's their property," Childress said, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "I wouldn't get into any speculation on anybody on anybody else's roster."

Rice is sidelined and Percy Harvin, who missed nearly all of training camp with a migraine, has a hip injury. Harvin is expected to play Sunday.
