Brad Childress makes recruiting trip to Mississippi
Brad Childress has maintained all along that Brett Favre can take all the time he needs in making a decision on whether or not he will play football in 2010.
Childress would no doubt like a decision sooner rather than later, and to that end Childress has traveled to Hattiesburg, Miss., to make a sales pitch to No. 4.
Favre has maintained that he still has not made a decision. This, after undergoing ankle surgery in May. He’s also been working out with high school kids but said at the ESPY’s last week that his ankle wasn’t where he wanted it to be.
Childress arrived in Hattiesburg on Sunday night and was at Southern Miss’ 7-on-7 passing camp for high school kids earlier today with Favre. Childress didn’t want to comment about his journey but said, "”You can fill in the blanks.”
The Vikings will not be able to fill those blanks in until Favre announces he is, indeed, returning for a 20th season in the NFL. Stay tuned.
