Bradford completes private workout for Rams

Sam Bradford has completed his draft preparation.

A private workout for the St. Louis Rams on Friday in Norman, Okla., ended the long process for the quarterback expected to be the No. 1 pick when the draft kicks off Thursday night.

Bradford worked out for Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and quarterbacks coach Dick Curl and now he’ll do what most have been doing for some time – wait. He’ll head to New York early next week in advance of the draft for marketing appearances.

"Mentally it's kind of been a roller coaster, and it's been a bit wearing," Bradford told Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "There's been a lot of different stages I've gone through. When it first happened with the injury, it was just the whole uncertainty of if I'm ever going to be able to throw again."

Bradford had to rehabilitate his way back from shoulder surgery but believes he’s convinced everyone that he is fully healed and ready to go.

"I feel like I'm back," Bradford said. "And now, it's gonna happen how it needs to happen. It's out of my hands at this point."

Bradford visited St. Louis earlier in the week when the team hosted many of the top prospects for the draft. The Rams have seen plenty of him. He figures to be their man Thursday unless another team blows them away with a trade. So, sit back and wait along with Bradford.
