Brady proved to be mortal vs. Giants

When you want to win a football game, you can count on maybe a finger or two the number of quarterbacks you'd rather have under center than Tom Brady.

But with the Patriots losing their second game in a row Sunday, 24-20 to the New York Giants, and falling into a three-way tie for the AFC East lead, Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald pointed out that even Brady proved to be human on Sunday.

Brady was 28 of 49 for 342 yards and put the Patriots in position to win, until Eli Manning drove the Giants back downfield late in the game. But Brady had two interceptions and lost a fumble Sunday. By Rapoport's count, Brady had seven passes that he termed as inaccurate throws, and seven more that the Giants batted away in tight coverage.

It led to a bad day at the office for the Patriots, who face their old friend Rex Ryan and the Jets this Sunday night. And while Sunday wasn't Brady's best performance, chances are, he will be at the top of his game with the Jets next up.
