Brandon Jacobs' mild MCL sprain concerning for Giants
Brandon Jacobs has been sidelined this week with a knee injury and it looks like he will not play Sunday when the New York Giants host the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium.
According to the New York Daily News, Jacobs has a “mildly” sprained MCL.
"There is some swelling," Giants Tom Coughlin said. "And it is not subsiding."
The Giants are 3-1 despite a rash of injuries on defense and the success has been due, in large part, to the play of quarterback Eli Manning. The ground attack with Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw has not come together as had been expected.
Bradshaw should get the bulk of the work vs. the Seahawks and D.J. Ware could see time. Per the report, the Giants could consider Da’Rel Scott.
