Brandon Jacobs to reporter: 'You think I'm stupid'
Maybe Thunder and Lightning or going to go together like oil and water this season.
That is because there doesn’t seem to be a lot of harmony right now in the locker room, at least not when it comes to the Thunder in the equation, Brandon Jacobs, who has been relegated to a backup role behind Lightning, Ahmad Bradshaw.
Jacobs recently said it’s “hard to stay positive” with a reserve role on the team. When he was asked about the remarks on Wednesday, he got angry, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
Jacobs caught the attention of coach Tom Coughlin when he claimed to be the victim of a “cutthroat, backstabbing business” and when this was brought up, well, Jacobs ran for the sideline. First, he channeled his inner Drew Rosenhaus and said, “next question!”
“You think I'm stupid, aren't you?" Jacobs said before motoring off. “You guys are funny, man.”
There isn’t a lot that is funny about the situation right now because the Giants need a 1-2 punch and if Jacobs is the second part of that equation, he needs to find happiness in his role. It looks like that might take some time.
