Brandon Meriweather fires back at Brandon Marshall

Bears receiver Brandon Marshal criticized safety Brandon Meriweather for targeting offensive players with his helmet, saying Meriweather should be kicked out of the NFL.

The Redskins safety fired back with some personal comments aimed at Marshall that likely won't go over well with him.

“He feel like I need to be kicked out of the league? You know, I feel like people who beat their girlfriends should be kicked out the league, too," Meriweather said, via The Washington Times. "So, you tell me who you’d rather have: Somebody who play aggressive on the field, or somebody who beat up their girlfriend? You know, everybody got their opinion, so that’s mine, that’s his.”

Marshall has previously been accused by an ex-girlfriend of battery in a civil suit, though the case was thrown out in 2012. Marshall was also stabbed by his wife in the stomach in 2011, when he was with the Dolphins.

There certainly seems to be some bad blood between Marshall and Meriweather. It'll be interesting to see if, or how, Marshall responds to Meriweather's rebuttal at his next media session.
