Breaking down Frostee Rucker's $3.1 million one-year contract extension
The Arizona Cardinals gave a one-year, $3.1 million contract extension to veteran defensive end Frostee Rucker, according to a league source.
That includes $500,000 in guaranteed money.
A 2015 preseason split was removed as part of the deal.
This year, Rucker is still due a $1.1 million nonguaranteed base salary and has a $2.181 million salary-cap figure.
In 2015, Rucker has $275,000 in incentives for playtime and sacks. He has a $500,000 roster bonus that's being paid Tuesday, June 2.
He also $15,625 per game active roster bonus up to $250,000.
He has $475,000 in not likely to be earned incentives for playing time and sacks, up to $200,000 playtime and sacks escalator. The base salary includes a $100,000 escalator from his 2015 performance.
In 2016, Rucker has a $1 million nonguaranteed base salary and a $1.509 million salary-cap figure He has $275,000 in incentives for playtime and sacks, a $250,000 roster bonus paid $15,625 per game active and $475,000 in not likely to be earned incentives for playtime and sacks.
