Brett Favre: 'I don't have any interest' in playing for Dolphins
At least Jeff Darlington didn’t have to camp out in front of Brett Favre’s home.
The Miami Herald reporter made his way to Hattiesburg, Miss., today and got it from the quarterback’s mouth. He’s not coming to sign with the Miami Dolphins. Really. He’s retired this time.
Darlington tracked Favre down at Oak Grove High School – where else – and the retired quarterback hopefully put an end to the stories that he may be fixing to make yet another comeback.
“I haven’t heard anything, and I don’t have any interest,” Favre told Darlington. “No.”
In fact, Favre seemed incredulous a reporter would even make the journey.
“You’re from Miami?” Favre asked when introduced to Darlington. “Don’t you have anything better to do?”
Per the report, Favre is out of shape and hasn’t been throwing with players in the high school program as he has been in recent years. He had a long vacation in Wyoming. So, if the Dolphins are trolling for veteran help at the position, sounds like they’ll have to start looking elsewhere.
