Brett Favre yet to pass tests to return from concussion

Brett Favre missed practice today for the second consecutive day and he has yet to be medically cleared to return from the concussion he suffered in Monday night’s loss to the Chicago Bears at TCF Bank Stadium when he was sacked by rookie defensive end Corey Wootton.

Favre has not passed the baseline concussion test, according to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and from there he’d then have to pass some physical tests. He needs to be cleared by both team and independent physicians and while he can go to Saturday with that, it looks at this point like he may be unable to go Sunday at Philadelphia.

Of course, Favre had been ruled out this last week and he rallied to start vs. the Bears.

“It can vary from person to person," Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said about Favre's lack of progress. "Some guys respond a little bit better. But in this era, where we’re very cautious when it comes to head injuries, you’re just very cautious. But it varies from guy to guy. Some guys have fewer symptoms than another two days later or a day later."
