Brian Urlacher should ask 'Who is Dhani Jones?'
Remember back during the Red Sox-Yankees battles from a few years ago when Pedro Martinez, in a sitdown interview with ESPN, said “Who is Karim Garcia?”
We’re waiting for Brian Urlacher to ask the same question about Dhani Jones. That’s because the Cincinnati Bengals linebacker, maybe best known for his collection of bow ties, took what from all angles looks like an unprovoked shot at the Chicago Bears middle linebacker.
Jones has done a lot of media work during his career, which began in 2000, and in a segment for NFL Network he ranked the top 10 linebackers in the game. Jones has led the Bengals in tackles for the last three seasons and he placed himself No. 7, one spot ahead of Lance Briggs, a six-time Pro Bowl selection for the Bears.
Topping his list? Patrick Willis of the San Francisco 49ers. Not anywhere on his list? Urlacher. So Jones was asked to explain.
“When's the last time Brian Urlacher got off a block?” Jones said.
Maybe it will prompt Urlacher to ask the question, “Who is Dhani Jones?”
