Broncos make Demaryius Thomas their franchise player

The Denver Broncos have assigned wide receiver Demaryius Thomas the non-exclusive franchise tender. It costs nearly $12.8 million. “This is another step in our efforts to extend Demaryius’ contract and ensure he remains a Denver Bronco,” Broncos general manager John Elway said. “We will continue working toward a long-term agreement with Demaryius, who is a very important part of our team.” Thomas is a three-time Pro Bowl runner who has 351 catches for 5,317 yards and 41 touchdowns.
