Broncos name Peyton Manning as the starter

The Denver Broncos have named Peyton Manning as their starter for the playoffs. The Broncos have an AFC divisional-round game on Jan. 17. Broncos coach Gary Kubiak told the team at a Thursday meeting that Manning would start ahead of Brock Oswelier. Manning replaced Osweiler last week as he returned from a torn plantar fascia. Manning led the team to a 27-20 win and won the AFC West division title and the top seed in the playoffs.
