Broncos not picking up fifth-year option for Sylvester Williams
The Denver Broncos aren't picking up the fifth-year option for defensive tackle tackle Sylvester Williams.
Williams will be an unrestricted free agent after next season.
Williams would have been due a $6.75 million base salary in 2017 guaranteed for injury only.
Williams started 18 of 19 games last year, but worked mostly in the base package on first and second downs.
He played 48.7 percent of the downs in the regular season and 40.2 percent of the defensive snaps in the playoffs.
