Broncos not shelving Ty Warren for the season just yet

The Denver Broncos have not ruled defensive tackle Ty Warren out for the entire season, but just because he’s not going on injured reserve at this point doesn’t mean he’ll make it back to play in 2011.

Warren will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a partially torn right triceps, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. The expected recovery time is a rather broad range of three to six months. Even on the short end, you’re talking about him being back potentially at the end of November – and that would be without any conditioning work.

The Broncos will have a better idea what is going on after the surgery for the injury that occurred during inside running drills on Monday.

Warren sat out all last season with a hip injury. The Broncos signed him for $4 million for this season.
