Broncos sign Cody Latimer, Matt Paradis

The Denver Broncos signed second-round wide receiver Cody Latimer and sixth-round center Matt Paradis.

Latimer was a second-team All-Big 12 selection last season at Indiana. He was named the Hoosiers' Most Valuable Player.

He caught 72 passes for 1,096 yards last season.

“We really liked the complete package," Broncos general manager John Elway said of Latimer. "Really the cherry on top of the sundae was how he goes about and plays the game. He was the best blocking wide receiver, by far, in the draft.

"He took pride in what he did. He took pride in blocking. To me, that’s what separated him. He’s got great speed. He’s big and he’s tough. He’s a complete wide receiver.”

Paradis was a second-team All-Mountain West Conference selection at Boise State.

The Broncos have three unsigned draft picks: first-round cornerback Bradley Roby, third-round offensive tackle Michael Schofield and fifth-round linebacker Lamin Barrow.
