Broncos' Thomas could testify against ex-teammate Cox

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas could be called to be a witness for the prosecution in the trial of ex-Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox, according to the Denver Post.

Cox faces two counts of sexual assault from a Labor Day Weekend 2010 gathering at his Denver area apartment. Thomas was present with the victim at Cox's apartment on the night of the alleged assault.

The affidavit states that the victim and Thomas were "fooling around" but Thomas left after she passed out. Cox, according to court documents, impregnated the victim, a DNA test showed.

It is also possible that Broncos cornerback Cassius Vaughn, who was living at Cox's apartment at the time, could be called to testify, as could linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who had formerly dated the victim, according to the report. Neither Vaughn nor Woodyard were involved in the alleged Labor Day weekend incident.
