Browns place Phil Taylor on IR

The Cleveland Browns placed nose tackle Phil Taylor on injured reserve due to a knee injury that will require surgery.

The Browns rank 28th in rushing defense.

Taylor's injury goes along with tight end Jordan Cameron being out indefinitely with a concussion.

"You don't know," Pettine said. "It's a touchy subject."

The Browns replaced Taylor on the active roster by promoting linebacker Keith Pough from the practice squad.
