Browns place Tayshaun Gipson on injured reserve
The Cleveland Browns placed safety Tashaun Gipson on injured reserve, ending his season.
They promote linebacker Scott Solomon to the active roster from the practice squad.
Solomon is a former Tennessee Titans seventh-round draft pick who has 10 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He has also played for the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gipson hurt his knee in November against the Atlanta Falcons. Gipson is tied for the NFL lead with six interceptions and also has 52 tackles, eight passes defended, one fumble recovery.
