Browns playing the best football in the AFC North

With a quarter of the season in the books, the Cleveland Browns are playing the best football in the AFC North.

Wait, what?

Yes, the Browns — the same Browns that traded away Trent Richardson two weeks ago — have won twice in consecutive weeks behind the arm of quarterback Brian Hoyer and a stingy defense that isn't yielding much yardage.

The Browns defeated the Bengals 17-6 on Sunday, giving the Browns a 2-2 record. Three teams are now tied atop the AFC North record-wise, those being the two aforementioned teams and the Baltimore Ravens. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 0-4.

The Browns have relied on a connection from Hoyer to tight end Jordan Cameron the last two weeks, with Cameron catching his fourth touchdown in that time span. Against the Bengals, Cameron had 10 catches for 91 yards and a score.

The defense kept Cincinnati out of the end zone. Andy Dalton was limited to just 206 passing yards and an interception.

The other three AFC North teams lost Sunday, with the Ravens and Steelers playing poorly in the process.

The division appears weaker than normal in 2013, putting the Browns in the early discussion for being the division's best team.
