Browns trade Justin Gilbert to Steelers

In a rare in-division trade, the Cleveland Browns have agreed to a trade with Pittsburgh that will send DB Justin Gilbert to the Steelers in exchange for a 2018 sixth-round pick. Gilbert was a disappointment with the Browns they've been looking to unload. The Browns now own Philadelphia’s 2017 first-round pick, Tennessee’s 2017 second-round pick, New England’s 2017 fifth-round pick, Philadelphia’s 2018 second-round pick, Carolina’s 2018 fourth-round pick and Pittsburgh’s 2018 sixth-round pick. Cleveland has conditionally surrendered a 2017 fourth- or fifth-round pick to Philadelphia and a 2017 sixth- or seventh-round pick to San Francisco. Gilbert, a first-round pick in 2014, appeared in 23 games with three starts. He totaled 33 tackles, nine passes defensed, one interception and one defensive touchdown.
