Bruce Matthews meets with Cowboys about assistant job
The Dallas Cowboys are considering Hall of Famer Bruce Matthews and former tight end Dan Campbell for the newly created role of assistant offensive line coach.
Campbell will get a second interview today with line coach Hudson Houck, according to Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Matthews, who has worked in a similar role the past two seasons for the Houston Texans, met with the Cowboys on Monday.
Houck coached Matthews at USC. He’s lived in Houston, where he played for 14 seasons, since retiring. With Campbell getting a second meeting, it’s possible he’s well positioned to get the job.
