Buccaneers could be next for HBO's 'Hard Knocks'

Raheem Morris might not drop F-bombs quite like Rex Ryan and no one can match the New York Jets coach when it comes to grandiose predictions.

But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could follow the Jets on HBO’s popular series “Hard Knocks” this summer. Of course, we’re operating under the premise teams will report for training camps this summer and this little labor mess is all cleaned up by then.

Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com reports that the Bucs are a “leading candidate” to be next up for the popular summer series. The Bucs have been in talks about participating. As Yasinskas points out, it makes sense for a franchise that couldn’t sell out a single game last season. Of course, those not attending Bucs games will still need HBO to watch their team in the series.

It might be good publicity but we’re not convinced it’s a good idea to air your business publicly, either. It sure makes for compelling viewing though.
