Buccaneers cut Michael Johnson, Anthony Collins

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have acknowledged their mistakes from last year.

They cut starting left tackle Anthony Collins and defensive end Michael Johnson after previously cutting quarterback Josh McCown. They were all signed last year to big deals. Those deals added up to $83.75 million with $43.75 million guaranteed. Johnson leaves after making $16 million of his $23 million guaranteed and saves the Buccaneers $7 million by cutting him before Thursday. The Cincinnati Bengals want Johnson back, as do the Minnesota Vikings. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
