Buccaneers ensure Quincy Black stays put
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be content to allow Barrett Ruud depart via free agent.
But they were not going to let Quincy Black elude them. The veteran linebacker is back in the fold after he agreed to a $29 million, five-year contract that includes $11.5 million guaranteed, according to NFL.com.
It’s a big pay day for Black, but the Bucs have a huge amount of salary cap room that will enable them to make just about anything they want happen. Black, who missed five games last season with a knee injury, will be able to help bring along rookie middle linebacker Mason Foster.
