Buccaneers sign Henry Melton to one-year deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Henry Melton to a one-year contract, according to his agent, Jordan Woy. Melton had a three-year, $24 million option that would have guaranteed him $9 million in 2015, but the Dallas Cowboys let him go. Melton didn't regain his old Pro Bowl form last season, one year after a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He recorded just 15 tackles, five sacks in three starts. He didn't play in the playoffs due to a bone bruise in his right knee. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun.
