Buccaneers sign restricted free agent George Johnson to offer sheet
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed Detroit Lions restricted free agent defensive end George Johnson to a one-year offer sheet.
The Lions have five days to match the offer.
Johnson began his career with the Buccaneers.
Johnson was assigned a $1.542 million original-round tender. They have the right of first refusal, but wouldn't get any draft pick compensation if they opted not to match an offer sheet.
Johnson had 29 tackles and six sacks last season.
