Buccaneers trade Dashon Goldson to Redskins for 2016 sixth-round draft pick

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded safety Dashon Goldson to the Washington Redskins for a 2016 sixth-round draft pick, also sending a 2016 seventh-round pick to the Redskins in the exchange. Goldson is a former All-Pro with the San Francisco 49ers. He played six seasons with the 49ers after being drafted in the fourth round. Goldson struggled with the Buccaneers with penalties and fines. He was fined $150,00 for illegal hits in 2013. He had 151 tackles and one interception with two forced fumbles in two seasons. He signed a five-year, $41 million contract in 2013. Chris Conte is the Buccaneers' new starting safety. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
